The Innovation Office supports researchers, and clinicians with new ideas and inventions, thereby strengthening the transfer of innovative research into business and society.

The Entrepreneurship Center at the University of Bern supports young researchers with continuing education programs, training courses, and competitions to promote entrepreneurial thinking and innovation.

Unitectra is the technology transfer office for the Universities of Basel, Bern, and Zurich. Its services support the universities and their researchers in the commercial exploitation of research results.

In addition to courses, the Learning and Development (LEAD) Office also offers consulting and coaching services tailored to specific individual needs. These include classroom observations, project support, and event and curriculum development.

In addition to books and journals, specialist databases, e-journals, and e-books, the University Library of Bern (UB Bern) also offers courses in professional research, writing, and citation, as well as support and infrastructure for academic publications.

The Language Center at the University of Bern offers language courses in German as a Foreign Language (DaF) and Academic English (AE).

The Canton of Bern offers language courses (German, French) for administrative staff.

The ILUB (Innovative Teaching & Learning Technologies University of Bern) helps lecturers get the most out of digital tools for teaching and collaboration and implement teaching scenarios with them.

Transferable Skills are cross-contextual competencies that are essential both in research and outside the university, for example in project management, communication, or leadership. The program offers doctoral candidates and postdocs individual expert feedback, intensive learning in small groups, and promotes interdisciplinary networking.
